Dulles, VA – - Charron Consulting is excited to announce our Sponsorship and Participation in the 2012 JDRF Real Estate Games.

On Thursday, June 7, 2012 the 23rd annual JDRF Real Estate Games will take place at American University in Washington, DC. More than 1,700 people from the commercial real estate community are expected to participate and compete against one another in the all-day Olympic-style sporting event. Last year, through the support of the team athletes, volunteers and sponsors, the event raised nearly $400,000 for diabetes research.

A record-setting level of over $4.6 million has been raised since the event’s inception 23 years ago.

JDRF is dedicated to funding research to find a cure for type 1 diabetes, which strikes children and adults suddenly, makes them insulin dependent for life, and carries the constant threat of devastating complications. JDRF’s sole function is to support research to find a cure for type 1 diabetes soon. In a typical year, more than 80 percent of JDRF’s expenditures directly support research and research-related education.

Event sponsors, team participation, ad sales, in-kind donations and proceeds from the auctions raise funds in support of vital type 1 diabetes research.

Dulles, VA – - Christopher Charron was awarded the 2012 Dick Brennan Award from the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce. An award presented in recognition of an individual’s sustained and career-long leadership and other valuable contributions, the award is presented based upon service to the Chamber over the course of many years.

Mr. Charron has served the Chamber in many capacities including as a member of the Board of Directors for seven years, as the VP of Small Business, the executive committee and he has co-chaired the Small Business Awards multiple times. In addition to his service to the Chamber, Mr. Charron is on the Board of Directors of the Washington Architectural Foundation.

Tysons Corner, Virginia: “Focus on Excellence” was the theme of the Best of NAIOP Northern Virginia Awards held Thursday, November 17, 2011 at The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner. Charron Consulting was honored with two awards: Best Interiors (0-14,999 SF) for our Headquarters Space and our very own, Angelea Busby was recognized as Member of the Year.

Over six hundred fifty people were in attendance as twenty-two awards were presented in the following categories: Transactions, Interiors, Marketing, Buildings and Membership. The Awards Dinner was an opportunity to celebrate significant new contributions to Northern Virginia by the commercial, industrial and mixed-use real estate community.

Charron Consulting just recently took photographs of our new space! Please browse the photos below for a “peek” of our east coast office.

As part of Charron’s programming requirements, the goal of the project was to provide a modern and efficient work environment for company associates. This was achieved through the inclusion of semi-private, personalized work stations, private offices, collaboration spaces, social areas, and the infrastructure necessary to support corporate operations.

To further the company’s sustainability objectives, the floorplan was strategically designed for maximazation of natural light, leading to significant reduction in energy usage and LEED Gold certification.
